FOWLER MARION (SC) - Malcolm Jenkins FOWLER, 74, a retired Marion County employee, died Wednesday in a Florence (SC) hospital. The funeral will be at 5 p.m. today in Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins (SC). Burial will be directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Mr. FOWLER was born in Marion County, a son of Jesse B. FOWLER and Eva E. ROGERS FOWLER. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Centenary Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nelson Faulk FOWLER; two daughters, Betty L. FOWLER Loving husband and father Malcom Jenkins FOWLER, 74, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness. He was born Jan. 22, 1926, in Marion County, a son of the late Jesse Boyce FOWLER and Eva Elizabeth ROGERS FOWLER. He retired after being employed with Marion County. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Centenary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Nelson Faulk FOWLER; two daughters, Betty L. FOWLER of Florence and Nellie F. LANEY and her husband, Tommy, of Cheraw; three grandsons, Jason R. BRYANT and his wife, Daphne, Joshua F. BRYANT and Duncan B. BRYANT; a great-grandson, Coleman R. BRYANT; three nieces, Libby DENNIS and her husband, John, Mary Hilda JOHNSON and her husband, Leon, and Connie JOHNSON and her husband, Joe; and two nephews, Willie Boyce FOWLER and Legrande FOWLER. A graveside service will be at 5 tonight at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins. The Rev. Joe PROCTOR will officiate.
