DEBIE FRANCES FOWLER ---------------------------------------------- Debie Frances Stivers, daughter of Isaac and Virginia Stivers, was born Noevember 28, 1858 at Lancaster, Mo., and passed away at the home of her daughter on April 21, 1948, being at the time of her death 89 years, 4 months and 23 days of age. The earlier part of her life was spent in Chariton County, later she came to Putnam County, where she spent the remainder of her life. On January 26, 1875 she was married to Edward Fowler. Five Children were born to this union namely Charles, Fred, Isaac and Asa, all of Unionville, one daughter, Carrie Alice Carter of Livonia. Her husband preceded her in death on March 6, 1899. Besides her children, she leaves to mourn her death 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers, Isaac and Sherman Stivers of Bremerton, Wash., several nieces and nephews and a host of freinds. Six sisters have preceded her in death. She confessed to Christ and united with the Church of Christ at the Fowler school house several years ago. She was an ardent reader and beleiver of the Bible. The funeral was held Friday April 23 at the Husted Funeral Home at 2 o`clock with Evangelist James Truitt conducting. Pallbearers were grandsons; Pearley, Leslie, Gene, Bob and David Fowler and Herbert Carter. Flower girls were granddaughters; Mrs. Bernice Ford, Mrs. Mary Hart and Genevieve Fowler. She was laid to rest at the Summers Cemetery. I am looking for anyone who knows this family, and could tell me what Edwards parents names were. Thank you.
