Looking for any info on Fowlers from the Southeast Alabama area. My g-g-g-grandfather was John Franklin Fowler, married to Charity Elizabeth Hays. Coming on down the line would have been Henry Seaborn Fowler, married to Elizabeth Tindol. I know they were probably from around Cottonwood area. They had several children including William Eldridge Fowler, my g-grandfather. If there is anyone who knows about where this line came from before Alabama I would love to know. Fowler born 1850/51 in Little River,New Brunswick--(exact date and parents unknown)-- She had son George ?? ?? 1872/74 in Fairville(Saint John, New Brunswick. Do not know if she was married or not. If she was,probably to George Mills or San(n)ders Staples. She did get together with Staples at some time because they had--Sarah in 1881,Richard in 1883 and Bella in 1891. Hello: I need information on the family of Mary Jane (Fowler) Duncan. She was born August 24, 1836, died March 22, 1861 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. She is buried at Wesley's Chapel Methodist Church , near Cloverdale, Alabama. She married John J. Duncan. They had one known daughter Martha F. (Mattie) Duncan and she married William Hall Koonce. She was born April 21, 1921, in Marion County (SC), a daughter of the late Duncan Marvin JONES and Mary Elizabeth SAWYER JONES. She was the widow of Laurence Vernon FOWLER. She was a homemaker and a member of Catholic Church of the Infant Jesus. Survivors include two sons, Byron Joel FOWLER of Belmont, NC., and Richard F. FOWLER of Cincinnati; two daughters, Paula F. BIRKBECK and Loretta F. COLLINS, both of Mullins; a sister, Thelma J. MARTIN of Mullins; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today (Nov. 7, 1999) at Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Burial will be in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.

It has been my pleasure to connect with several distant cousins who are also connected to Fowlers who were in Lauren SC in the early 1800's, and several of whom moved to Hall, Dekalb counties GA around 1830.
