    3. Hello Duane, Thank you for this wonderful information. I am looking for information on Martha A. Fowler, daughter of James Fowler and M.J. Sanders. Do you have a Martha A. in your files? This Martha A. Fowler married into my NEELY line. Following is what I have on Martha and Andrew --- Andrew Johnson Neely b. 10 June 1864 Williamson Co., Il d. 30 Nov. 1918 Perry Co., Il married 28 Oct. 1890 in Johnson Co., Il Martha A. Fowler b. Sept. 1872/4 Johnson Co.,Il d. 1916 Jonesboro, Union Co., Il They had at least 6 children -- Male - Coy O. b. Sept. 1891 Ill. d. 1913 Female - Minnie P. b.April 1893 Ill. d. ?? Male - Delmer E. b. Feb. 1897 Ill. d. 14 May 1917 Male - Erant/Grant T. b.1901Ill. d.?? Female Myrtle E. b. 1904 Ill. d. ?? Female - Salley J. b. 1907 Ill. d.?? What I am actually looking for is Martha's mothers full name, M. J. Sanders, middle name of her father James ??? Fowler, birth date on Martha A. and also death date and cause of death, and then birth and death dates on the children. I have a small obituary on Andrew Neely and it sounds as though the entire family died in fairly close proximity of years, with Andrew passing last from Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Do you have any information to fill in some of these blanks? If these people are in your line and if you are interested in Andrews obituary or his and Martha's marriage license, I would be happy to share these and anything else that I might have. Looking forwards to hearing from you. 3. Jim, The info that I am looking for is -- Martha A. Fowler's mothers full name, all I have is M.J. Sanders, no dates of birth or death. Martha A. Fowler was born Sept. 1872/4 d. 1916 Martha's father was James Fowler, I have no dates on him or his wife. My direct line in this family is Andrew Johnson Neely who married Martha A. Fowler 28 Oct. 1890 They had at least 6 children, and it seems that possibly they all died by 1918, the entire family. I am trying to get birth and death dates on this entire line. 2. Matt Fowler (Solid Earth MLS)
    3. Hi all. I have been looking carefully (for me at least) for one of my lines. I have located a record from the 1870 US census which records my g. g. grandfather, "Jeff Fowler" at age 39 living with wife Sarah (38), daughters Ellen (11) and M.B. (4) and a son, M.F. (14) in Lincoln County, Tennessee. I am reasonably sure that the "MF" counted in the census is Madison Franklin my g. grandfather because of his age and family tradition that his father was named "Jeff". I have looked around but cannot find an earlier or later mention of Jeff so this is my dead end. Anyone know of this family? Thanks in advance and God Bless. ________________________________________ Matt Fowler Huntsville, Alabama

    3. Hi, Marian, Thank you for the note! I am the desc. of Archibald and Edda MAHAFFEY FOWLER through Leah FOWLER, twin to Rachael. I did not have that note from the MILLER Cemetery, and I certainly appreciate it! As always, I'm still hoping for dear old Archie to reveal his definite origins to me! I do think that he is related to Francis FOWLER, and I am fairly well satisfied that was a son of Joseph FOWLER. (I think that his wf. was Rachael WHITAKER, and this is where the Rachael came for his daughter's name.). I was a MILLER bef. marriage; my husband was the PRINGLE. I am afraid that I am not desc. fr. Israel - shame! I am desc. fr. George MUELLER who prob. came fr. Hanover, Germany, and my children are 9th generation in Pickens Co., SC, desc. fr. dear old George. He died in Warren co., KY in 1812, the only one to leave the county until me! Take care, and please keep me in mind with dear old Archie! 2. Hi, David! My name is Connie Hebb, and I am a 4th great-granddaughter of Archibald Fowler. My line is through his son (my 3rd great-grandfather), John W. Fowler Sr. of DeKalb County, Georgia. My 2nd great-grandfather was Alexander Currier Fowler, and my great-grandfather was Thomas Almond Fowler (born Maletos (sp?) Almond Fowler). My grandfather was Hoyt Albert Fowler, and my mother is Juanita Elizabeth Fowler Hebb. I would love to swap information with you, as I do have copies of J. W. Fowler's will, as well as that of A. C. Fowler. FYI, the DeKalb Historical Society has letters written by my 2nd great-granduncle, J. W. Fowler Jr. to my 2nd great-grandaunt Anna M. Fowler (later White). He wrote those during his service in the War between the States. J. W. Fowler Sr. and A. C. Fowler served in the war, as well. Also, J. W. Sr. served as Sheriff of DeKalb County twice in the early-mid 1800's. A. C. served as Postmaster of a fairly new town of Stone Mountain in 1847. Oh, well! There is so much history here in DeKalb County. Thanks for the information re Archibald. Connie > > From: "David S. 1. Joshua Fowler, b. ca. 1755-SC
    2. Suzy Burt
    3. See "A Collection of Upper South Carolina Genealogical and Family Records, Volume I" by James E. Wooley; page 127. Joshua Fowler, born circa 1755 in South Carolina, died before 19 Jan. 1833 when his widow Elizabeth relinquished administration of Joshua's estate to William Jameson and Abraham Burdine (neither listed as heir). In internet information on Joshua his death date is given as Oct. 1833, which is true but more correct would be before 19 Jan. 1833. Also on the net I've seen the info that he had a daughter Rebecca who married William Jameson. Since in the above reference it clearly states that William Jameson is not an heir, it is doubtful that the wife of William was Joshua's daughter. She may or may not have been a Fowler. >From the above and other such references, 9 children of Joshua are: Elizabeth wife of Mark Freeman Joshua Jr. Thomas Hannah wife of John Leonard Ruth wife of Moses Cantrell - my line William John whose wife was Beddy Freeman Josiah Milly wife of Robert Boyd If interested in further documentation, see my postings on the Fowler GenForum. ~~~~~~~~~ Suzy B.
