I have been searching for the Fowler family of Schuylkill County, PA for several years. My Ggrandfather was Benjamin Fowler and his wife's name was Emmy. They had about 7 children. My grandfather's name was Edward Fowler born July 1875 and his wife's name was Hanora Connors and they had five children. My Father was Benjamin Fowler b 1900 and my mother's name was Mahy Helen Sunderland and they had five children. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? Jack Fowler

Hi, There has been discussion of Joel and America on the list. However what is known about the others: Thomas Mitchell, Priscilla, Deborah, Moses, Tabitha, Jesse, James? When were they born, who did they marry, where did they live? Is this John a son of Godfrey, The Quaker, and thus a brother of Richard, Susannah, Thomas II, Francis, Joseph?? Richard also seems to have moved to Laurens, SC. Did any of the others?? Also, does anyone know whether any of this group of Fowlers might have married any of the large MD family?? Benoni's son, Richard, supposedly was in Newberry, SC. Does anyone know whether any other of Thomas and Susannah IIams children or grandchildren ended up in NC or SC?? I'm particularily interested in the son, William, who married Susannah Duvall. Several of us on the list think we are descended from one or both of these families (MD and VA) but don't know how. Any info will be much appreciated. Mary G. in NJ

Hello Warren, I see you have Peters from NY to NB listed as family. I have a Frances PETERS as the wife of Nathan Deforest FOWLER (1822-????). It is possible PETERS was born in Folkstone England (as per LDS site), but unconfirmed. I know nothing else about her. Nathan D FOWLER is son of Josiah FOWLER (1794-1870) who is son of UEL Gabriel FOWLER (1757-1832). Gabriel was born in Wales, came to NY with parents, and went to French Village/Hampton NB as a Loyalist after the revolution. Gabriel's father (James FOWLER) is buried in the Acadian Loyalist Cemetery, French Village, NB along with: 1> James Wetmore (1727-1798) 2> Elizabeth (ABRAHAMS?) WETMORE (1730-1808) 3> Sarah (CLARK) WETMORE (1741-1794) wife of Justus WETMORE 4> Ruth (SHERWOOD) WETMORE (1769-1794) wife of David Brown WETMORE and others. I am not related to the Wetmores, but thought you might have some interest. The similarities between our families' names/geography looks more than coincidental. Do you have any connections? Would appreciate some info on PETERS of NB, if you have anything to share. Best Regards Norm Forbes
Searching for info on George Fowler and his wife Bertha Fowler. I have a photo marked Westfield, PA. I am also looking for their son William Howard Fowler who was born in Cherry Hill, New York. Family tradition says there Was a sister Beatrice. George and his wife were the owners of a chain of drug stores in upstate NY around 1920. They sold these properties and moved to Sacramento, California to develop an orange grove. Their daughter Beatrice was married to a merchant marine and was living in Sacramento area as well. I know that George died about 1930. If you have any information please contact me at [email protected]
