She was born in TN in 1835 and died in 1907 in IN. She married Henry Childs (listed as Chiles in the marriage transcription of Knox Co. TN) on 22JUL1854. Henry is also listed as marrying Mary Ann Foust on 29AUG1847. I'm not sure if it's the same Henry or not, but it is a coincidence. Melvina and Henry had at least 2 sons: Lewis C. Childs (1863-1945) and John Childs. Lewis Childs married Ellen (1865-1940)in Indiana. Melvina, Lewis, and John are listed in the 1880 census of Delaware County, Indiana. Melvina, Lewis, and Ellen Childs are buried at Jones Cemetery in Delaware County, Indiana. Lewis and John Childs were cousins to my great grandmother Dialtha Minerva Foust Kettery. I'm just trying to figure out the familial connection by finding Melvina's parents.
