Adelia Foust Amick was my great, great grandmother. I can't find out what happened to her either after 1900. She remarried a Frank McKenney, and was living with her brother, Elsworth in 1900 Cardington - but Frank was not there. Her father was John Foust Jr., not Jacob. Jacob was her great grandfather. If you ever find out what happened to Adelia, I'd appreciate hearing it - and I'll do the same for you. Kat in FL Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: Lace_Lynch Surnames: Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.foust/753/mb.ashx Message Board Post: LEXINGTON: Driving down the road, Dave Foust could smell a piece of rusting machinery. He'd "sniff-out" the abandoned piece, barter to get it, then pour himself into restoring it. In the little shop behind his home, Dave would meticulously clean and restore each piece of implement to a state better than its original condition. His finished projects had "the cleanest guts in town, when he got done with them." He'd refurbish tractors, bulldozers, skid loaders, anything with an engine.often fabricating his own replacement parts. No matter how busy Dave was out in the shop, one thing could always make him drop whatever he was doing- the ring of the supper bell at 5 p.m. sharp! Call him what you will, except late for dinner, the best way to top it off was with a slice of pie. He had a heart for the discarded and forsaken, be it equipment or people, as Dave valued people ~ he never met a stranger ~ and always encouraged kindness: "they're a person, speak to them." A man who saw great value and worth, where others did not, Dave passed away Friday morning October 1, 2010 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield, Ohio. Richland County, Ohio He was 82. Born July 24, 1928 in Lexington, Ohio to Clarence and Barbara (Logan) Foust, Dave remained a lifelong village resident. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 50s. For 52 years he was self-employed, painting both interior and exterior. Dave had so many classic sayings and quips, but none were more important to him than the common courtesy of a "Thank you" or an invitation to visit him again: "Come Back". He was member of Bellville, Ohio Lodge #376 F&AM and a charter member of Lexington First Congregational Church. He is survived by his wife, Marge (Harris) Foust, whom he married February 28, 1948; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy & Dayton Williams of Eden; sister, Carolyn Gill of Las Cruces, NM; numerous niece and nephews; and a host of friends including caretaker Jim Magers and his family of Lexington. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 3 p.m. in Lexington Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Cheatham will speak. Military honors will be provided by the Richland County, Ohio Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Contributions in his memory to Lexington First Congregational Church may be made through the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, which is assisting his family with funeral plans. We were always told we were Cherokee and Chyenne. Indian. Bob dosen't know how this happened. I cannot find a Birth certificate on William/ I think Frank and Texann moved to California. I got the information through 30 years of research with my parents. In actuality, my parents were the ones that discovered Henry's previous families and figured out the family relations between Mary Ann Palmer, Henry, and Harriet. If you live in Texas, you can view deed records, marriage licenses, and civil court records by using interlibrary loans. Time to start researching! It's good for you to look at the documentation, too, because you might see something someone else missed. Susan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hello, Has anyone researched these Fausts who appear in the 1820 Census for Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on page 8? John Faust (aged 16-26) Charles Faust William Staley (probably husband of Elizabeth Faust, sister of Charles) Some records indicate Charles Faust and Elizabeth Faust to be children of: John Franciscus Faust (b 1749 - d. 1814) and wife Esther of Montgomery County, PA. Does anyone know if John Faust from the 1820 census was also a son? I'm searching for John Faust who appears in the 1830 Census in Wayne Township Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. His wife was Rebecca (b. 1796). Their children: Esther (b. 1820) Jacob W. (b. 1821) Sarah Ann (b. 1833) Mifflin County James L. (b. 1835) Thanks, Angela
