Dear FOUST Researchers, The Wisconsin Historical Society has their pre-1907 death index records on-line at: HYPERLINK "http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/vitalrecords/"http://www.wisconsinhistory.o rg/vitalrecords/ (births are already there, and marriages are coming soon!). I found 20 FOUSTs listed in the death records. I hope this helps someone! Roxanne ListHostess -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. My third great grandfather has/had a sister named Mary Stutts who married a David Foust in Moore county, North Carolina. Of their children was a Angeline Foust, according to the 1850 census of Lauderdale county, Alabama; she was born in 1844 in Moore county, North Carolina, or at least the census states that she was six years old in 1850. I have no record of who she married, so I can't help you there. Her brother's and sister's were: Margaret, William, Lock, John, Abel, Elizabeth Catherine, and Mary. So if you can match any of these names with her, I can tell you what the records say were the names of David's parents. Hope this helps. Jo Ann Vitatoe

According to my grandpa, John Foust married a Maria Brace. They had a child, Della Foust born in 1887. This is all that I know. My Grandpa may not be correct on the name of John Foust's wife. I am going from his memory. My grandpa is still alive but as a young child, remembers John Foust's funeral in the 1920's. My grandpa then told me where John Foust is buried in Oshkosh, WI. Sure enough, his tombstone is there etched with his Civil war unit of PA 105th company H. This is how I got interested in researching my surname. Thanks again!

So very sorry your dad was sick and hope he has recovered. I last saw him at RC and Millie's place when I met you. He was full of stories about the old days. I only have three pictures of my grandfather, Monroe, and one has your dad in it when he was a young man. I also found some Demming NM newspaper articles about his wedding, you've probably seen them. I would be very happy to give you what I have on the family, probably less than you, but maybe there's something you could use. My very best to you and yours and prayers for your dad. He is just about the last of a whole world of people and stories I grew up with. Take care, Caren

I'm researching FAUST/FOUST (often misspelled or mis-transcribed as FROUST). The man I'm researching is Redford (Rhett) Malcolm FAUST. He was born in NC to Ellie E. (surname unknown) between 1889 and 1891 (date varies with each record). Ellie never married Rhett's father, but she did marry William Sanders (see below) a few years later. Rhett's surnname is misspelled FROUST in the 1900 Census, and their is a FROUST family living next door. Maybe this will help: The 1900 census for Randolph County, N.C. on Ancestry.com lists this in Pleasant Grove Township: Sanders, William Head birth year unclear , Ellie E. Wife birth year unclear , Edith E. daughter 1896 , Lillian E. daughter 1898 Froust, Rhett M. step-son 1889 Just next door: Froust, George 1828 , Barbara E. 1828 On Jan 10, 2006, at 1:16 AM, lizziecoon@yahoo.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Foust, Stout, Wamsley > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5BX.2ACEB/414 > > Message Board Post: > > Angeline Foust and Harvey Stout Wamsley (1839-1886), m. 10.09.1860, > had 12 children.
