BLAIR, FORD, RIDGEWELL, EDWARDS(?), KLEIST; also CULLEN & HULBERT I am posting for a family member/friend who is unfamiliar with Rootsweb. She is interested in contacting living descendents of these particular families. My apologies for the cross-postings. The BLAIR & FORD families of NSW Australia, briefly as follows, with known associated surnames:- 1. William BLAIR married Maude Evelyn CULLEN, 1910 Quirindi NSW (Upper Hunter Valley). I have plenty on the CULLEN background (my husband's family) but none on the BLAIRs, uncertain of his birth & parents. Maud died 20 Sept 1978, "late of 16 Stephen St, Bondi Beach". William pre-deceased Maude. Maude's death notice: "Mother of Sylvia, Hebe, Eric, Norma, June, Sidney and Jack (deceased); mother-in-law of Kingston, Leonard (deceased), Barry (deceased), Olga, Kevin." Children: (at least the 1st three born in Tamworth NSW; marriages Sydney area) *Sylvia May BLAIR b.1911, married Kingston Thomas FORD 1935 Waverley NSW (see below) Hebe BLAIR (female) b.1914, married Lawrence(?) RIDGEWELL 1942 Waverley NSW - Leonard? Eric Lloyd BLAIR 1917-2001, married Olga Dorothea (surname & mge details unknown). See below. Norma BLAIR (possible mge, Norma Maisie Blair to Basil James Bryan EDWARDS, 1941 Waverley???; husband seems to have been known as Barry - see death notice above) Jack BLAIR died 1926 Annandale NSW June BLAIR, married Kevin Joseph KLEIST 1949 Sydney NSW Sidney/Sydney William BLAIR, mechanic, living with mother in 1978 at Bondi NSW; unmarried? Eric died 17 Nov 2001, "late of Caringbah" NSW. Death notice states "father & father-in-law of Erica, Margaret & Douglas;...[grandfather to]..Michael, Simon, Steven, Peter & Timothy". The KLEISTs may still be living on the South Coast of NSW (Sunshine Bay); Hebe RIDGEWELL may still be living at Baulkham Hills, & Olga BLAIR may still be at Caringbah (both Sydney). 2. Thomas George FORD & Edith C HULBERT, married 1913 Narrabri NSW. (Thomas's parents were Henry Lyons FORD & Susan Emma DODDS, married 1880 Glen Innes NSW). My contact is descended from this HL & SE FORD family. Children: I only have these two recorded but there are most probably more. Kingston Thomas FORD (male) born 1914 Newtown NSW (Sydney) - see above. Thelma E FORD, born 1913 Sydney NSW. Kingston Thomas FORD died 16 April 1984. He & Sylvia were living at Baulkham Hills (Sydney). His death notice mentions sons John & Robert, daughters-in-law Monica & Lynne, and grandchildren Stephen, Loretta, Michael, Jaquilin, Mathew, Jo-anne and Alan. Some of these grandchildren I have found in fairly recent electoral rolls, mostly in the Newcastle NSW area.
