Military records say he was born in Portage Vale. N.B. Enlisted in 1915 in Toronto. May have returned in 1918 or 1919 to marry Celia Eliza (maiden name unknown) He may also have been from England Or I have thought maybe even a home child, As I can find no record of a birth on him anywhere. Or even a mariage.My deceased father said he wenrt to N>B> found someone who knew him. But father is now deceased. Military file also said he was a fireman by trade. Any info. would be grateful on either grandparent.
