    3. This might help. Walt Did any of your Fords migrate from Ohio to Mankato, Minnesota? I am looking for the parents of my great grandfather, PHILIP FORD, born in Ohio in May, 1839. I do not know the city in Ohio. I have not located Philip yet on an 1850 census....he would have been 11 years old at the time. I don't even know if there was a census in Ohio in 1850. I did Philip him living with a JOHN and SARAH FORD in Mankato, Blue Earth County, Minnesota in 1860. At that time, John was 30 (born about 1830) and Philip was 21, so they could have been brothers. Have you come across these names? I have not found John and Sarah in an 1850 census either, so they could have been in Ohio then also. I'm curious about the naming pattern of the Ohio Fords.....how did that work, according to what you have found? This may help me find Philip's parents. Philip named his sons William Wesley, Charles M., and Paul Herbert. Daughter was Olive Myrtle. He also had a child named Inez, which sounds like a girl's name, but is listed as a male on one of the censuses. Something else that might hold a clue.....my grandfather told one of his daughters that his family's last name was originally "FORT". Does that ring a bell? *************** ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 9:51 AM Subject: Re: [FORD] John W.
