Born June 16, 1927 in Leland, Mississippi she was the daught er of the late Mr. Dan Ford, Sr. and Mrs. Gussie Ford. She was a resident of Southern California for over 50 years and moved to Charlotte 7 years ago from Claremont, California after the death of her husband of 51 years, Willie Fletcher. Rosie was a devoted Christian and member of Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church in Charlotte. She was a very loving person who had much love and compassion for her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, growing roses and spending time with her loved ones. Rosie, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend is survived by seven daughters Gussie (Wendell) Burkhalter, Mary Fletcher, Dorothy Fletcher, Celeste Felder, Catherine Fletcher, Rosetta Fletcher and Faustina (Phillip) Ballard; two sons Milton Fletcher and Alexan! der (Fonda) Fletcher; one step-son Willie Fletcher, Jr.; one sister Haley Newton; 31 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. All of whom will always cherish her loving memory. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m today at Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Willie Fletcher. Long & Son Mortuary in Charlotte serviced the family immediately after her passing. Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona is in charge of local arrangements.
