Her mother may have been Maria. I believe her sister was Ellen Abigail born Hanley, Staffordshire in 1832. According to the 1851 census Louisa was born 1824 in Cheadle, Staffordshire whereas the 1861 census indicates Chester, Staffordshire. She married Thomas Lambert Rutter in 1850 in London where she died in 1874. If anyone can give me a lead on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Christine in Montreal, Canada >> Christine: I have no specifics that can help in your efforts but you are one of the minority that I see with family tracings back into the UK, and specifically in England. While my Fords, so far, are traceable to the 1850's in the Hampshire (southerly England) I often wonder if prior generations are connected to other parts of the country. Has your tree been published in any manner, say as a web site? I would be interested in hearing from other Fords of English descent that have their trees published with information as to any available site. While my Ford information has been published it was raw in nature and has errors to be corrected and much more info to be added. If anyone out there is tracing Ford's in the Hampshire area please let me know. Thanks. Ed (Ted) Ford [email protected]
