    3. Just came across this in a book I have and thought I might post it. Book is a list of patriots that fought at the Battle of Cowpen(South Carolina). Ford,Joseph---b. c.-1759 Joseph Ford enlisted at Baltimore,Maryland under Capt.(later General)Samuel Smith and continued in this corps until discharged at Camden,S.C. in 17782. He was in the battles of Mud Flats,Camden,Cowpens,Eutaw Springs,and Yorktown. Ford was granted pension on his application executed July 15,1818 whie living in the District of Baltimore and aged 59. At the time of his application(and 3 years previous),he was a tenant on the plantation of Joseph and Walter Crook at Middle River Neck. Federal Pension Application--#S34867 hope this helps someone !
