Hello, Jay, So nice of you to reply to my e mail. Thank you very much. As the system originated from the US, I guess we've got a lot of catching up to do, thereby the lack of response from us Brits. Please don't take my remarks adversely. I do get frustrated about the UK lack of response. When you mention the Mayflower - may I please tell you that the other half of my families, the Tooley family from Lincolnshire (Boston, to be precise) were instrumental in teh perception of the Mayflower project, Im very proud to say - after suffering many years of injustices from parliment here, including a John Tooley who was hung, drawn and quartered from preaching against the English hierarchy. Many, many years ago, but Im proud of them just the same. By this you will perhaps think that I have a lot of prejudice, I haven't - it just makes family history so fascinating, especially as those genes are part of me and mine. Once again, many thanks, Lovely to hear from you, Barbara "J.D. My grandmother, Mary Anne Ford, was born in 1889 and was the daughter of Edward Ford, a French Polisher and Hannah (?), and I wondered if she was of your line. Forgive me for asking, but I, too, joined the Ford family request line, but all they seem to come back with are American Fords. As I have been looking for for info about Mary Ann (aka Polly), I hoped you dont mind my asking. > > > >Regards, > > > >Barbara > > > > > >==== FORD Mailing List ==== > >http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/FORD > >Contact me if there is any trouble with this site [email protected] > >Teddy > > > >============================== > >Search the US Census Collection.
