Hello, Joy, Many thanks for respondimg to my e mail, but I hope I didn't write it in such a way that I offended you - that is the last thing I wanted to do. I think my frustration is purely personal - my poor old dad (his mother was a Mary Anne Ford born in Paddington in London in 1889) was brought up in a very, very poor part of London and when he was 14, enlisted in the Army where he stayed until 1976 (a very long service), during which he was a Japanese Prisoner of War, a Korean POW, etc, but it seems so awful that his life and family just seems to have vanished into space... I also kow that if if wasn't for the US, we probably wouldnt even have the opportunity to go this farback. So please dont think that I am knocking the system - I just want my dad and his family to be recognised in some way. Is there any kind of web site for pensions, or for prisoner of war people? It seems like there would be somewhere. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: jvford5 [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 16, 2006 4:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Re: [Ford] Re: Ford family Middlesex UK Dear Barbara, Your father was an honorable man in his own right the way I see it.
