In the 1800 Franklin census under Barny Ford there isa Jacob Ford, then a George Barger and then another Jacob Ford. I always assumed the later Jacob Ford was Barnabus's Father but have no other records saying so. In the 1810 Franklin census there is also the two Jacob Fords. Jacob did not follow his father to Ohio. Only Isaac is on any records here. The names of Jacobs children and the fact that he was from Bedord County caught my eye. I did find some interesting info on a Mary Ford, father Barnabus, b 5-25-1765 Hagerstown, Washington Co. Maryland d.-1-28-1827in Marion, West Virginia. married to Benjamin Veach. So was our Barnabus from Maryland? I haven't been able to fine out. I wish I had some documentation connecting Jacob and Barnabus.

I found this bible in a basement and saved it from being discarded. It was found in Wrightsville, York County PA which is just on the other side of the river from Columbia, Lancaster Co. PA. Before me, this bible was in the possession of a person who may have gotten it in an auction box lot, at a yard sale, or salvaged it from a clean up of an old building, he doesn't remember. It very likely came from Columbia Lancaster Co. PA. I would happily return this bible to a member of Carolyn's family. Please contact me if interested. Jacob Ford was born in Germany in about 1765 (not quite certain) and died after 1843 in Monroe Township Township, Bedford County, PA. The exciting part of your information is that Jacob had sons named Isaac and Barnett or Barney Ford. Barney was born about 1800 in Bedford County, PA. He also had a daughter named Hannah. I know family names perpetuate so your information is a marvelous clue and well worth looking into. Do you know if your ancestor Barnabus Ford was a cabinet maker? Jacob was a cabinet maker. I know sons tended to appretince with their fathers and continued their trade.

In the last few hours, it seems that AOL has whitelist'd RootsWeb's mailing list servers and mail is flowing through again. As we have about 100 000 messages spooled to deliver and we do not wish to overwhelm mailboxes at AOL, we have started a drip feed delivery to AOL/Netscape/CS/WMConnect. This delivery will deliver the mail over the next 90-100 hours. I will review the delivery in about 24 hours to see how things are progressing. -- Teddy List Mom for the Grayson Co Ky List, Brady, Vertrees, Ford, Fulkerson, and Commonwealth http://www.kygenweb.net/pd-res/deford.html
