    3. There is a website for the Strong Family of America which has substantial information about the descendants of John STRONG. The site is www.strongfamilyofamerica.org. There are people in that organization who have done a lot of research on the Strong family and they will probably be able to assist you. Thomas FORD came to this country on The Mary & John in 1630. A great deal has been published about that ship and its passengers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "RJTHODEN" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 25, 2006 11:49 AM Subject: [Ford] Abigail Ford b 1619 Bridgport, England > Seeking information on ancestry and descendants of Abigail FORD > born 8 Oct 1619 Bridgport, England; married 5 Dec 1630 as 2nd wife to > John STRONG; died 6 Jul 1688 Windsor, CT. 3. Ernest Jennings - aka Tennessee Ernie - Ford's ancestors really aren't that much a mystery. Ernest Jennings Ford b: 13 Feb 1919 in Bristol, Sullivan Co., TN (not Bristol VA-it's a split city with one side of the street being TN and the other VA, but Tennessee Ernie was born in the TN side) son of Thomas Clarence Ford (b: about 1893) & Maude ?. Grandson of William Alexander Ford b: 1858 d: 1925 and Alice Marion. Great-grandson of Daniel Peter Ford (b: 1825 d: 1891) and Margaret Hartman. Great-great grandson of Lloyd Ford III (1784-1863) and Mary Branstetter. Either Lloyd, III or Daniel P. Ford apparently moved to Sullivan Co. from Washington Co. where many Fords migrated from MD after the Revolution. Thomas Clarence had one sister named Lula. Lloyd III was son of Lloyd Ford, Jr. b: 1748 MD d: 1842 Washington Co., TN and Mary Wood b: 1760 in MD. He was son of Lloyd Ford b: 1727 Baltimore Co., MD d: 1816 Washington Co. TN and Mary Grant b: 1733 in MD. This Lloyd moved to TN after the Revolution (before it was TN). He was the son of Thomas Ford (1682-1748) and Leah Price (1690-1748). This Thomas was the grandson of Thomas Ford who immigrated to MD before 1652.
