This is a very large cemetary, there is a possibility there could be other family members buried here after this time period. If you are interested in them, I can look for them specifically.

I have in my company, rank and file, 101 men, and I am fully satisfied that I can, with my company, put down 400 of Abe’s Yankees, ye I can put down all that can be brought in sight. As to our regiment, we have at this post, Captain GANSLER’S Company from Hunt, Captain NICHOLSON’S Company from Fannin, Captain BOUND’S Company from Collin, and my company form old Hopkins County; the health of the men at this place is good; we are looking for Capt. BURK’S company from you county daily. I see that Congress has provided for loans of cotton to the Confederate States to be secured by bonds. Now is the time for our farmers in Texas to show their undying devotion to the Confederacy, let there be no holding back; ! if it were necessary to do so, it would be wise to give all, but that is not necessary; the loan is a wise investment, we must not stand back, our all is at stake, we must to do all in our power and as much more. I will start an express between this and Washita, and Capt. REEVES has an express between Washita and Sherman, and we will be able to get our mail matter weekly from Texas. You will please send my Standard to this place until you hear from me again. All is quiet at Fort Cobb. I have just received a letter from Capt. TUSTLY at that post. Z. T. SCOTT says please send his paper also. Yours Truly L. G. HARMAN P. S. July 20, 1861 Dear Major I will not get ready my roll as I expected, on account of some obstacles. One of my men, to wit, H. M.
