I have records showing that my great grandfather was in fact the son of a Peter Forbes of Franklin Co, VA. I can find no proof of who his parents were. He was the only silver smith in Franklin Co in the 1850's. He married Emeline Hiatt and they had at least four children.There is a marriage record for them. Census records show a daughter Julia, and three sons. William, Wiley Tazewell and George Washington.
