I would like to introduce myself. I am Jim "Pops" Jackson and have the privilege of serving as your list administrator. Darrell was kind enough to allow me to take the reins and I look forward to reading your posts as well as occasionally offering one myself. I have been a list administrator for a few years and have collected a fair number of lists and message boards. I don't claim to be an expert on a particular surname or on genealogical research but I thoroughly enjoy being involved. I am always willing to help in ways that I am able and will do what I can to help you find new avenues of research. I got the name "Pops" when our granddaughter refused to try to say "Gramps" which my wife wanted her to call me. It has since spilled over to my Rootsweb personality and so now I am "Pops" Jackson. It's kind of fitting, actually. My grandfather was known by everyone as "Pop" Jackson. I hope to hear from all of you on the list. If there are "brick walls" you want to share, or if you want to tell something of what you have learned about your ancestors, or have questions or comments, send them along. Best wishes, Pops
