    3. Irene Did George have any sisters? I am searching for a Margaret Forbes - possibly the wife of William. For a long time, I believed the parents of my gg-grandmother Ann McDonald b. 1812, were James McDonald and Margaret Forbes as these are the names on Ann's death certificate, but there is no trace of them, and there is a William Mcdonald and Margaret Forbes who married in 1811at Logie Coldstone. Could this Margaret be a sister or niece of your George? The occupation of her father is given as "farmer" on the death certificate - but the person who registered her death was a lodger - I have no idea why, as she had children of her own. Do you have any details of the family and sibloings of George please? Doreen.
