Dear Forbes List: It has been sometime since I last posted: I am looking for lineage for Ephraim Forbes, my great3 grandfather. I pick him up in Knox County, Clay, Ohio in 1830. He stayed there until 1858 and then moved to Bronson, Mi. and then to LaGrange, In. in 1872. In the 1850 census for Knox County, OH., Hillier Township he declares that he was born in Va. and his father was born in PA. Ephraim was born on July 10, 1810. He married a Margaret Hall. I am told that they married in Pittsburgh, PA. but I cannot verify. undocumented family history says they came down the Forbes Road to the national road and into VA.
