I have hit a brick wall researching my ggrandfather James Forbes Taylor. So I am trying any avenue that might get me further back on my family tree. I am hoping that James Forbes Taylor's middle name might be his mother's maiden name. So that is why I am posting this inquiry to the Forbes list.This is what I know about my ggrandfather: He was born on September 15, 1849 in New York City. He died on December 23, 1902.( I think near Port Jarvis, New York) He married Melissa Angeline Carpenter. James and Melissa had the following children...
