Ireland They were living in blooning grove area in orange co. ny The William that dave found in the lds.may be a brother,to john and a son to charles and fannie forbes as stated on the record he found. The john named his son after william, his brother and Fannie the daughter may have been named Fannie after John's mother fannie Forbes. you . if they came over in 1865 you may want to check the spelling on the 1870 records. just a thought. hoping this will help.
