I tried several times to find out more about the Forbes info that was available through your email address. I was unable to find out what Forbes documents are available, how much they might cost, or even which eBay auctions they were on. If these documents are still available, I surely would still like to know this information. How can one possibly know whether the information is appropriate otherwise? Please contact me regarding this. I have recently been in contact with someone who may be interested even if I am not. -Susan
Believe a Charles Sidney Forbes graduated from law school in Washington, D.C. in the early 1900s. Could this be the one?
My great-grandfather came from Scotland. He was born in 1838. His name was Alexander Forbes. My grandfather is Arthur Alexander Forbes, born 1872, died 1960. Not sure if this helps any.
The only Alexander Forbes that I know of is my great-grandfather, but he was born in 1838. He also came from Scotland, but I have no idea where in Scotland or where he went. My grandfather is Arthur Alexander Forbes, born 1872 and died in 1960. Don't know if that helps or not.

Need more info on this marriage if anyone has it.
Dear Bill Have you found a death certificate or tombstone for John or Sarah? Those might give you a clue as to which part of Great Britain they came from. There are sites for passenger lists( I've never found ANY of mine on them yet, though) but you could check them. Go in to the site for Cindi's List and look for the Passenger Lists Site.Below is a siyte I've used. http://istg.rootsweb.com/index2.html Helen in Ontario ----- Original Message ----- From: <wjforbes@bellatlantic.net> To: <FORBES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2001 9:41 AM Subject: [FORBES] forbes family > > > I have traced my family all coming into the Port of Boston in the early 1800's.
