Posted on: FONTAINE Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/f/o/FONTAINE/queries/26 Surname: BINET, BINETTE, FONTAINE, PAZOTTE, ALLAIRE ------------------------- Melina Binette married Cyrille Allaire in Biddeford, Maine January 25, 1892. The record of Victoria Allaire states that the name of the parents are Pierre Binette and Tharsille Pazotte. Other researchers feel that the Pazotte is Fontaine??? But I cannot make the connection of Melina to this family or find any "Pizotte." St. Joseph Book states the name of only the father. Does anyone have the marriage of Tharsille Fontaine to Pierre Binette which would include this child, Melina, and the marriage? Tharsille Fontaine married Pierre Binette in Ste. Marie de Beauce, August 5, 1856 and no migration to Maine is evident. I do not have her parents. Libq@aol.com

    3. Also answered on Rootsweb bulletin board (same message). ------------ Although I do not have a record for Melina (since she is not a Fontaine), I do have the marriage and the parents of Tharsile. Pierre Binet (Louis & Charlotte Crete) m. 5-Aug-1856 Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, Beauce, QC Tharsile Fontaine (Thomas & Modeste Morin) b.Apr-1835 d.30-Nov-1919 Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, Beauce, QC Since Tharsile was married and died in Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, chances are all the children were born and baptised there too. Since you already knew the marriage, you are most likely looking in the right place for birth & baptism records. I have no clues as to where Pazotte came from other than a possible recording error in Maine. 3. Hi, I have her in my geneology papers, She's listed as M. Ursule marieƩ 1856 a Pierre Binet, Ste Marie, and her parents were Jean Fontaine and Ursule Gagniez. Jean (Baptiste) Fontaine, born Feb. 14, 1805, a St. Henri, marie Aug. 28, 1832, Ste. Marie Usule Gagniez, fille de Pierre Gagniez dit Belavance et Marguerite. I can go back further on the Fontaine side, but that's it. I don't have the list of the children born to Jean Fontaine and Ursule Gagniez, that's where our family breaks off and we follow Fenelon (Leon) Jacques Fontaine (who would be the brother of M. Ursule Fontaine, married to Binet. I think that this information was taken from a book by Frere Eloi, 'Les Genealogies de la Beauce'. I hope this helps. 3. I have the Marie Ursule Fontaine b.2-Dec-1835 to Jean-Baptiste Fontaine and Ursule Gagne (aka Gagnez). However, I do not have a marriage for Marie Ursule. The Marie Ursule Fontaine and Tharsile Fontaine in question are second cousins in our database. However, we have Tharsile, not Ursule married to Pierre Binet/Binette.
