Terry, I strongly suspected but now after seeing the response from Tony I'm certain that your husband is descended from the same Fontaine line as my husband. My husband Tony (not the same one as above), is also part of the Pion-LaFontaine line and his g grandfather was Elzear Eugene Fontaine b. 1872. Our other Fontaine researcher, Daniel has sent me the ascendance from Elzear clear back to Nicolas Pion dit LaFontaine who came from France. I can't see exactly where your Jean-Baptiste fits in but I'm sure if we could take your line back one or two more generations we would find the connection.
