Niven's books are just great! I recommend them too!! Who would believe that such a mild looking man was such a war hero with such a zany sense of humor and no ego at all!!! My brother is currently reading Charlton Heston's autobio. He had written Heston a "fan" type letter a couple years ago and Heston sent a personal response! Those old stars, were stars, IMHO.
