URGENT! The bill to restrict access to California births and deaths passed, and it is certain to be signed by the governor. That means that if VitalSearch can keep their database on-line, it might be the only way we can obtain much of the info we genealogists and historians need. I don't know if VitalSearch is California based and I hope it is based outside of California. Surely California legislators have no control over the internet - especially if out of state? I sent a message to Vital Search about this and urging them to keep the info on-line for us. I urge all of you to do the same. If they go off-line, we will lost our only access to the information we need. So please send a message to VitalSearch telling them that we need them to keep the CA births and deaths on-line. And tell everyone you have contact with to do the same. It's our last hope.
