    3. Well, it finally happened. I have driven the same route to work for the past 18months without any problem. Then Sunday, Mother's day, at 6:00am I hit a dear on my way to work. I have been back past that area twice since and the dear isn't there so it must have ran off after creaming my car. Luckly I was able to drive the car to the nearest town where I called 911 for the police and an ambulance. The hood is buckled up on the pasenger side, the headlight is smashed on that side, the sideview mirror on that side is gone, the windshield is cracked, and both airbags deployed. I am sooooo lucky. Even though my car may end up being totaled, my only injuries are some scrapes and bruises on my right arm, chest and abdomen. These are all from the seatbelt and airbag. I also have some muscle spasms in my left shoulder and neck. I could also have ended up stuck out in the country, with a pretty long walk to the nearest town. Instead, I ended up with an ambulance ride to work (I work at the hospital that they took me to). The ER doctor would not let me work that day, so I just took care of getting my car to the dealership (which was closed) and then waited around till 7:00pm when another nurse got off work, she lives near me and was able to drive me home. I live 45min-1hr from where I work. I told them at work that my guardian angel must have been sitting on my shoulder during the accident. I am not as stiff and sore the last two days the way I was told that I would be. I was given an rx for vicodin in the ER, but so far Motrin has been able to take care of the soreness. Yesterday my rt forearm was purpleing up really nicely, along with the red from the scrapes (very pretty). But now the bruising just looks like I need to wash my arm. I was so blessed in how this all turned out. I could have been hurt much worse than I was. God is good. 3. Kara: My son hit a deer at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. I don't, for the life of me, see how one small animal could cause so much damage. They do though...they do. Bill Covey Author of Watson Is Where It Wuz http://billcovey.50megs.com
