    3. I have a 40 gallon tank I've had for maybe 10 -15 years. I bought it after I had spend 3 months at a hospital in Denver with my daughter, she was in a coma, had three cardiac arrests, and I spent alot of hours by their salt water tanks. They helped me keep calm, and I've spent alot of hours just watching my tank when my mind needs to settle down. It is very peaceful to me. I'm now worrying how I'll move my tank when we move to MI this summer. That is still up in the air, I may just give my fish to someone, and move the tank and start all over. Or maybe I'll try finches, or a kitten, but can't seem to want to let go of the fish. Have a great week end. 3. Grannie, you can move your tropical fish, the operative word here is you. Movers will only moved dry tanks. To move your fish, go to you local pet store and acquires some other bags they use when they sell you fish and pick up enough Styrofoam boxes to hold all you fish and gravel. If you move the tank yourself you can leave a little water enough to keep you gravel covered while transporting. If movers do it as stated above the tank will have to completely dry. So I usually take everything out. Moving is a good timed to reset you take and give it a good cleaning anyway. Then when you get moved you just reset your tank back up and reacclimatize you fish into their new environment. You should fair well. May loose some, this is not 100% foolproof, but it works and we folks that must have their fish takes move with them as managed to get it done this was for years. This works best for topical tanks, marine tanks well move but expect higher fish loss. Good Luck Take care of those Fish PS; Keep them warm, and also have the pet shop add wome oxygen to their transport bags. They will breathe must easier and their water want foul as quickly.
