Mercy, mercy, life is getting worse and soooo much better! Final diagnosis - 5 fractured vertebae, spinal stenosis and edema around 2 fractures. BUT - I have new meds and I finally feel good! So good in fact that today I took plants outside and had an adventure. I was walking up the sidewalk by the front garden, chasing lizards all the way. And what did I suddenly terrify? An irate cobra! The snake stood tall and spread his yellow and black hood. Now, that's an unfriendly greeting. So I smacked him lightly on the hood. He immediately died. Belly up. Cool!! So I picked up the dead snake and it turned into an exploding steam engine, hisses like crazy! Well, I know how to fix that! I kissed him on the head! He then calmed down and we had a nice visit before I allowed him to go about his business and I about mine. Gawd, I love hognosed snakes!! Janis
LOL~! :-) Turkie Gal, when I read the subject line, I *knew* this was gonna have something about critters in it. :-) Sounds like almost way too much fun. :-) Great to hear of your adventure. What are those new meds by the way.....I think I'd like to give them a try. HUGS, kaffie Mercy, mercy, life is getting worse and soooo much better! It's a strange combination, sweetie. I'm taking neurontin. That's a drug usually prescribed for epilepsy. However, the docs working with MS patients discovered it controls severe cramping pain. That describes my back to a tee. 3 days ago I couldn't walk well or sit here or do anything but lay on a heating pad. Today I'm playing with wild snakes again. I'm also using the lidocane patch. That's another gift from heaven. The middle fractures, L4 and L5, are the pain producers. The patch knocks out the pain. What a joy to be able to function again!! Honest, I've been nothing but an invalid until now. That's why I haven't been here much. Uh oh!! I'm back!!
