Hello Everyone, I have just returned from a LONG trip. I brought my niece home with me due to the neglect going on there. She is going in the third grade and doesn't know how to read yet, Along with other things, adding, subtracting....ect.... I was wondering if any of kind folks would know of a web site that could help me to help her get caught up. There is only a couple of weeks left of school here so sending her to school here really isn't going to help her. Please Help...... Thank you Patti

I don't know of any web sites but I went to Wal-mart and K-mart and got games for the pc to help my grandchildren with their school work. They have counting, math, reading for every grade starting with pre-school. So far we are up to 5th grade. They aren't that expensive since I am on a fixed income. My daughter will look for web sites and send you what she finds. Ruth Hughes

OUCH! That's so sad, Patti. I just read this. Please let me look some. I would also recommend those educational books that allow the child to learn but are also fun. More on the way. Shoot, I forgot! Bad Turk! Contact the school she will be attending. Explain the situation and the school will help. There are free community programs. Get her a big sister or mentor. Read to her. Real, live people are far better than a web site. I'm sending you one site that does help. Most want $$$. The school should have free tutors.
