-/\/\----------------------------------------------------------------- \ / TODAY'S VERSE from HEARTLIGHT -- http://www.heartlight.org/ --\/------------------------------------------------------------------ May 20, 2001 VERSE: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. -- Philippians 1:21 http://www.StudyLight.org/desk/?query=Philippians+1:21 THOUGHT: The ultimate question in each of our lives is simply this: do we have something to live for that is also worth dying for? Paul's answer is "Yes!" Christ is the answer, the reason, and the hope. Now if we can get our will and our heart to line up with our commitment, we can make that same statement, too! PRAYER: O Lord, please forgive me for the things I have done or have said that have made the work of Christ in me more difficult to see. For as many years as you give me on this earth, I want my life to be a living testimony to Jesus and his powerful grace. I do look forward, dear Father, to the day that Christ comes in victory to bring me home to you. Until that day, please use me in your service. I am thankful that no matter what may lie ahead, I know that my future is tied to your Son and my Savior. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. http://www.heartlight.org/cgi-shl/todaysverse.cgi?day=20010520

Hello and Welcome to the list idontknow Kath
A man walking across a field encountered a tiger. He fled, the tiger chasing after him. Coming to a cliff, he caught hold of a wild vine and swung himself over the edge. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Terrified, the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger had come, waiting to eat him. Two mice, one white, one black, little by little began to gnaw away at the vine. The man saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked the strawberry with the other. How sweet it tasted! ~ZEN Parable
Kathy, just wait until they get to be sholder high, then they are as tall as you, and than they tap you on the head and say why are you so short? Those years go by so fast. Annie is now about a inch shorter than me if she ware her platforms, she is just as tall, even if she thinks she is bigger. What really shook me the other day was when my oldest daughter called to remind me that now her children are all adults. So I said well that makes you old? and she answered not as old as you ma, do you realize you now only have two blood grandchildren that aren't adults? WOW! knock the wind out of me. But I'm still not old myself, yet. Hope your weekend with D-Man was as great as your suprise of him comeing was, enjoy him while you can they grow up so fast, and than want to spend time with their friends. Tho once in awhile one of them will hang around a little longer, got to take it while they let us have the time. Thanks Grannie Annie. I'll have to remember to make a notch on the door jam to show how tall he is now. I bet he's grown at least 6 inches taller. :-) It's amazing how fast their growing up time goes. My double cousin has a step grandson that I met when we were back there in 97. He was just a kid. I have just always thought of him like I remember seeing him. I asked Jeannie about the grandkids last Christmas and she said Josh is working for UPS. LOL~! :-) I was shocked~! When did he get so old~! LOL~! :-) It was funny cause I just never pictured him getting so grown up. love you, kath > Kathy, just wait until they get to be sholder high, then they are as tall as > you, > and than they tap you on the head and say why are you so short?
