Surnames: Flynn, Lavin/Lavan, Cowley, Dowling, Hogan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4dW.2ACEB/1488 Message Board Post: My husbands great-great-grandfather Michael Flynn was the seccond oldest of seven children born to Michael Flynn and Bridget Lavin or Lavan( maybe Mary Bridget), in Roscommon, Ireland about 1938. The whole family emmigrated to the U.S. in 1859 through New York. About 1860-1862 the elder Michael Flynn died, and most of the family moved to Central City Colorado. Bridget died in Colorado. His sister Mary married a Mike Cowley, and his sister Anna was in Central City, also. When great-grandfather Michael died in 1910 in Montana, his obituary refers to two sisters living in Albany, NY. I do not know their names. I have the names of some Flynns who were in Central City at the same time as our Flynns, but have no way to link them to Michael. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, I would like to hear from them.
