Have no information as to where in Ireland they were from. > Barbara *********** Lol...Try having a Flynn married to a Sullivan lol..two very common names in Ireland..I do not know much about the Flynns or Sullivan's once back in Ireland... My gx3 grandfather was Denis Sullivan born 1816 in Kilmocomoge Parish, Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland..he married my gx3 grandmother Catherine Flynn born 1817 in Kilmocomoge Parish, Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland. I know they married August 31 1834 at St. Michael's Catholic Chuch in the Parish of Allihies. They immigrated approximately 1844-45 though I have not yet been able to find the ship they sailed on. They arrived in Canada and made their way to Wisconsin, where they put down roots. This is all information that my great grandfather-James Fitzpatrick Sullivan tracked down and I have not been able to add to it yet. I do know that Catherine had a brother named Thomas Flynn. I found that information because my gx2 grandfather James Patrick Sullivan was in the Civil War in the same company as his uncle 'Tommy'. There is a book written from some of James Patrick's writings called "An Irishman in the Iron Brigade", which I purchased from Amazon...That is the only additional information I have been able to find on the Flynns in my line...
