The family were born in Carlisle/ Cumbria - Wigton. He was one of 9 children who were orphaned at an early age and the eldest, Thomas then 15 was sent to America or Canda. I have met 2 grandchildren of his, American ,- Connie and Phyllis - years ago as a child but my parents lost touch??? Does this mean anything to you

    3. This could be of interest. I was looking at 1837 online. There was a Catherine Flynn born in Barrow in 1890.
