His naturalization record too might give you his place of birth as well as his obituary, cemetery information and even tombstone. If you're not sure if the children were actually born in Geashill, you'd need to check their church and civil marriage and death records, their children's birth, baptism, marriage and death records also to firmly place the birth location in Geashill. The boys naturalization papers also may include more detail. Girls generally weren't naturalized. The boys may have been naturalized with their father. You can access US census records thru a LDS Family History Centre. They have access to the census online and for many of the census records there's an index. For those that don't have an index, you would have to go through the census sheets of the place where that person lived. There are generally no surviving census records in Ireland for the 1800's and civil registration didn't start until 1864 so your prime source for research would be church registers.
