    2. Good Morning, I am posting 3 obits for the above. She was the wife of Michael John Feeney b. Ireland The death occurred in Devils Lake, Ramsey County, North Dakota in 1923. Anna was a sister of my aunt, Mary O'Connor Flynn (Mrs. Fergus Michael Flynn). Their parents names were Michael O'Connor (Ireland) and Julia/Catherine Sinclair (Canada). The two girls and their siblings were all born in Minnesota. If anyone wishes to contact me I have other data available. Devils Lake Daily Journal Thursday June 28, 1923 Page 3 - Column 3 "Under" DEATHS: MRS. ANNA FEENEY Mrs Anna Feeney died today at noon following an illness of but a few days. Complications set in after a minor operation performed Monday morning caused her death which comes as a great shock to the community as it was not thought her illness was so critical. Surviving are two little sons, Richard and James, both of whom are at St. Mary's Academy. Her husband died about five years ago. Funeral services will be held from St. Joseph's church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. ----------------------- Devils Lake Daily Journal Friday June 29, 1923 Page 6 - Column 5 Mrs. Feeney's Funeral Tomorrow Morning Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's church for Mrs. Anna Feeney, whose death occurred yesterday. Rev. Father Edward will officiate and interment will be made in the Catholic Cemetery (Devil's Lake Cemetery). Members of the Catholic Daughters of America and Women's Relief Corps will attend the funeral in a body. Mrs. Anna Feeney, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. O'Connor (Michael and Catherine Sinclair O'Connor), was born Aug. 15, 1891 in Minnesota. About 13 years ago she married Michael Feeney, at Melrose, Minnesota, coming soon after to Devils Lake where she has since made her home. Mr. Feeney (Michael John) died about five years ago. Mrs. Feeney was a graduate nurse and for the last year has been the day nurse at the state School for the Deaf. Word of her death came as a great surprise and shock to her many friends throughout the community as it as not generally known that her illness was so critical. Surviving her are two little sons, Richard, aged 11, and James, aged 8, two sisters, Mrs. Mary (Fergus) Flynn of Chicago, who will arrive tonight to attend the funeral and Mrs. McCormick of New York, and one brother Isaac O'Connor who reached here, from his home at Melrose Minn., shortly before his sister's death. The body was taken to the D. L. Stewart residence, 708 Third street this afternoon and will remain there until the hour of the funeral tomorrow morning. --------------- Devils Lake Daily Journal Saturday June 30, 1923 Page 8 - Column 4 Last Rites for Mrs. Anna Feeney This Morning Solemn requiem mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's church this morning at 9 o'clock for Mrs. Anna Feeney. Rev. Father Edwards, assisted by Father Gregory officiated. Acting as pallbearers were: R.D. Waller, Joseph Kramer, Fred Traynor, Thomas Gagen, Edward Erickson and William Anderson. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. Members of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Woman's Relief Corps attended the service in a body. Mrs. Feeney having been an active member of both organizations. The many sorrowing friends and the great number of floral offerings testified to the affectionate esteem with which Mrs. Feeney has ever been regarded in this community. Mrs. Mary (Fergus) Flynn, a sister from Chicago (Franklin Park) and Isaac O'Connor of Melrose, Minnesota, a brother were here to attend the funeral. Mrs. Feeney's two little sons, Richard and James will accompany their aunt, Mrs. O'Connor (Mary O'Connor Flynn), to Chicago, upon her return, and make their home there in the future.
