At that time the form shows he was living with his father JOHN WILLIAM FLYNN at 2 Vivian Street, Toronto. Is there any way of knowing who else lived at that address? I'm particularly keen to trace William's son (my relative) and to know if William married again and when he died. I'm fairly sure that William survived the 1st World War as he is not listed on any Canadian memorial list. Regards- Pat

I'm told that William and Ellen had 2 children, one of whom died. Ellen herself died at the age of 22 in 1910. Following this sad event William took his remaining child, a boy, and emigrated to Canada (I have no other information as to location) Are there any Flynn's in Canada who might be related? Family stories have her coming to the U.S. around the turn of the century. Also that she had a sister - possibly Margaret (?) - who emigrated to Australia. I have a photo, taken in Springfield MA in the late 1920s, of the following people: Nellie SONIER (nee Helen FLYNN) Alfred P. SONIER (her husband) their children, Alfred J. (my father) and Ida Mary Mary & Michael BRENNAN Eithne BRENNAN (later BLAKE) Tom FREEMAN Mack [sic, but I wonder if this could be Mary & Michael's other boarder, Michael McNamara - see below] Nellie (Helen) is listed on the back as "1st cousin of Mary Agnes O'LEARY BRENNAN" I imagine that might be through her mother, who is listed on Helen's death certificate as a LEARY? I've done a little searching and have found a Mary, Michael and Eithne BRENNAN in the 1930 Census in Manhattan NY - all about the right ages. There is another daughter listed in the Census - Maura. And two boarder - Thomas FREEMAN and Michael McNAMARA. If anyone is familiar with this family, they may be able to tell me if I'm on the right track. Any help is greatly appreciated! Mary

Greetings from Mandurah, W Aus. I would love to correspond with descendants of Reuben Michael Flynn, born 1903, who left West Australia to live in Salt Lake City. I have seen a modern photograph of the whole Salt lake City clan, and there were about 50 people in it, all dressed in red shirts. Reuben was a son of Michael Flynn, born 1869, and grandson of John Flynn, who arrived in W Aus in 1862, from Waterford, Ireland. best wishes Lorraine

----- Original Message ----- From: <diannakflynn@yahoo.com> To: <FLYNN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2005 11:24 PM Subject: [FLYNN] James, Claude, Gilbert, Oscar, Chester, Pete Flynn Hi! Thank you for your offer to share your information on the above names. I too am researching the Flynn name. That was my maiden name. What I have found through my research is that when my Flynn's came over from (around) Waterford, Ireland they all settled in Newfoundland. But I did have one sister to my grandfather (James 'Fling'/Flinn/Flynn that I know for sure moved from St. John's, Newfoundland to the Boston area. Her name was Margaret Joseph 'Flinn' born St. John's, Nfld 1878. Her mother's maiden name was Johanna Lundrigan. I didn't seen the "Lundrigan" name above but thought I would e-mail you just the same. Margaret was one of 10 children. Many thanks for taking the time to read my e-mail and again the offer to share. Sincerely, Rae Martin (nee Flynn) Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.
