    3. Hi again Pat, I believe I have her marriage in Manchester to Patrick Malloy, full entry, 2 July 1913, St Wilfreds Hulme, Manchester. Patrick Malloy father Bernard Malloy to Bridget Flynn father John Flynn, Witness`s Michael Flynn(my gt grandfather)40 Leaf St and Jane Egan 51 Leaf St. Hope this helps. From the 1901 census I`d assumed it was Bridget that had married James FLYNN, but in the 1911 it becomes apparent it`s Catherine. Thanks for the interest. 3. Hi Pat, I can`t be sure, John and Bridget married in 1857, the first baptism I know about was in 1862, which seems a little late, all these events were recorded in the register of the R.C. church in Ballinlough, it`s possible they lived in another parish close by the first 5 years of their marriage and will be looking at this possibility later in the year. I also have a Bridget Flynn whose parents are John and Bridget. I have located some of her siblings: Hugh, Mary, Anne and James. All emigrated to the USA. However, while one census has Hugh b County Leix, James' gggrandson seems to think they may have come from another county but is unclear on which one, maybe Sligo or Leitrim. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by ZoneAlarm AntiVirus

    3. I`m looking for links to my gt grandfather born 1866 in Ballinlough, Roscommon. His parents were John FLYNN born circa 1830 and Bridget KANE born circa 1836, they were married in Ballinlough 1857. Michael had brothers Pat and Martin and sisters Catherine and Bridget. In 1901 John is a small farmer in Lower Clydagh, by 1911 Bridget is head and a widower. Michael went to Manchester, England around 1890 where he eventually met and married Maria QUINN from the Tipperary/Kings County border. He died in 1931. Some of the family are thought to have gone to the States, but I have no proof or other information. If anyone recognizes any of my FLYNNs I`d be pleased to here from you. 3. Further to my enquiry just now. My G Grandmother could have met my Grandmothers Father in Hampshire as this is where her family originated and I suppose she could have been in service there. I guessed Bournemouth as the family being my GG Grandfather and children moved to Bournemouth after 1904. I know that all 6 daughters and 1 son all settled and ended their days in Bournemouth. The family name was Richardson. Thankyou again

    3. This is rather a long shot but who knows I have found family through short straws before. Here goes: My Grandmother was illegitimate born 8th February 1911 in Bournemouth, Dorset. The story goes that Dad Flynn was an officer in the Irish Guards and did ask my G Grandmother to marry him but she turned him down??? Probably not true. Flynn is on her Birth Certificate-no first name!!. If in an Irish Regiment he could have been in Bournemouth somewhere around April 1910 onwards. Any help would be greatly appreciated though not that hopeful. Thankyou for your time Caroline

    3. Good luck. I too am searching for Flynn's info tho from Mayo County, Ireland. Do you have any suggestions? My great great grand parents were: Michael Flynn b abt 1840 in Ireland m Catherine Flynn b abt 1850 in Ireland ) The parents of my great grandparents were James Flynn m Bridget Jennings (their son Michael Flynn, my ancestor) told to be from Castlebar and John Flynn m Julia Byrnes (their daughter Catherine Flynn, my ancestor) told to be from the townland of Keelogues, in the parish of Islandeady about half way between Castlebar and Wesrport. When we are told the parish of Islandeady, is this referring to a church parish? Maybe I should ask what is a parish? Believe they were all Catholic, how would you direct me to find their churches? and possibly church records? This couple, Michael and Catherine had a son Michael14/15, son Francis 6, son John 4 and daughter Catherine 2 on the 1880 census in St Louis, Missouri USA. No know dates of birth. Unsure whether the young son 14-15 could have been from a former marriage of ther father or she was a mother very young. Any assistance would be most appreciated.
