I would be very interested in ypour Flowers line,My grandmothers nephew was W. Lee Flowers who was a very succesful business man in Lake City. I am interested in the north fla. area because thats where my Skinner line came from , to be more specific the Live Oak area. >> Mr. Skinner, I have virtually nothing on the Flowers family. All I know is my maternal grandmother, Gertrude Scott, of Lake City, SC, was first married to Robert Flowers (I am pretty sure he was also from Lake City). His whole name was Robert Marian Flowers. I believe my grandmother's whole name was Marion Gertrude Scott. They had one daughter, also named Marion Gertrude. Robert died around 1900-01 and is buried in the Lake City area but I don't believe there is a marker on his grave. What I have learned about him comes from Marion's daughters. Marion Flowers married a man named William Hanna and they spent all their married life in Florence, SC. They are buried in Florence, also. Of their 6 or 7 children, three daughters, Valerie, Jackie and Talullah are still living. If you think this family ties into your Flowers family, I have phone numbers where these granddaughters of Robert Flowers can be reached. Virginia Allison Adams
