No, Lillian Adams isn't part of my family. I married an Adams from Kosciusko, Mississippi and we live in Jackson now. His family has been well researched and there is no Lillian. I am not familiar with Harry Gaskins. It seems there might have been a cousin named Harry who lived in South Carolina but I have no information on him. Most of the Gaskins I am related to were in SC....Lake City, Georgetown, Hemingway, Florence, etc. My granddad was the only one who made his way to Florida just after the turn of the century (that sounds odd since we have just had another one of those!) My grandmother, Gertrude Scott, first married a Robert Flowers who died quite young of Influenza, I believe...this would have been around 1900-1901. They had one child, Marion, who was born in 1900. A year or two later, Gertrude married A(rlington) D(illon) Gaskins, son of Judge John Henry Vinson Gaskins & Nancy Ann Rogers Gaskins, of Lake City, SC. and the family moved to Live Oak, Florida where two more children were born...a son, Clyde Allen, around 1905 or '06 and Mary Frances (my mother) in 1909. Gertrude's long hair caught on fire as she stood near a fireplace, causing fatal burns around 1911-1912. Aunt Marion was taken back to South Carolina where she was raised by her maternal grandparents and later by her late father's sister after the death of their mother. My mother and her brother remained in Florida with their dad after their mother's death. A. D. Gaskins remarried shortly thereafter. The second wife was Virginia Isabella Creekmore of Live Oak, Suwannee County, FL. Virginia Allison Adams
