I am not looking for Lee's. I am looking for Cat Allen and wife Caroline Holmes Allen. Also Pinkham's and Collins. Thanks Edith Aden
For Edith Aden, in reply to your "Looking for Lees." Have you looked for them over in Madison County. There is a wide place in the road named Lee, Florida and no doubt it got its name from the Lee people. Recently, my wife and I visited the Suwannee State Park and passed by Lee, FL. My wife's grandparents had lived there at one time in the early 1900's and we have a letter sent from Miami to Lee, FL. I also made a short visit to the Suwannee County Genealogical Society's Library in Live Oak. The President was "library sitting" that day and was so nice and helpful to me and I have heard many good comments about their collection and can vouch for them. I am sending soon three files containing my wife's CHESHIRE, CUSHMAN and WRIGHT Families who were were residents of Suwannee for many years from the early 1900s to around 1950s. By the way, I am researching the Rev. Allen Cicero Nelson line. If anyone can help please contact me. Thanks, S. M. Nice idea - but I never knew of any Lees in Lee, FL, and I have cataloged pretty much every cemetery in the area. Tradition is that Lee was named for Robert E. Lee, but that's debatable. Anyway - no Lees in Lee. Elaine Wellhoner McCreary mccreary@bestnetpc.com ----- Original Message ----- From: S.M.
