16 May 2001 Hello list, I am searching for more information on John William Grantham. I show he was born 1836 in SC. He is listed in Voter registration records in Live Oak in 1867 and in the same county census in 1870. I believe he married Lavina (spelled several ways: Lavinia, Vinnie, etc.) Nov. 20, 1868 in Suwannee County. That is all I have been able to find on him. I have a hunch that on page 53 of "Discovering Genealogical Roots in Suwannee County, FL", under the listing for Caroway, Lucretia, Lavina is listed as a daughter, Biney Grantham. Lavina died Feb. 12, 1899 and is buried in Hamilton County at Hamilton Cemetery. She had two children known to me: Theodore Wayne, Born Sept. 2, 1856 in SC and Liza Elizabeth, Born 1851in Suwannee County, FL. Anyone have any ideas or perhaps access to a later census that shows John & Lavina? Anything is appreciated as I have definitely hit a rock!
