I have a William J. Williams, b. ~1836, NC, son of Stephen H. Williams and Sarah Hill. They moved from NC to Hamilton Co. sometime I think in the 1850's. Stephen was a blacksmith and also served a couple of terms as Justice of the Peace. I have lots on the children of Stephen and Sarah but nothing on William. Could your William be the son perhaps of my William?
