I saw on the Confederate Pension list the following: Daniel M. McAlpin File #A00275 2nd Regt. Inf. Spouse: Mary (Wood) Application Date 1903 Length 10 pages. Sometimes you can get a lot of inf from copies of the Pension Application. Just thought this might help a little. Good luck. Allene
