Mike, I don't know anything about your Mary Elizabeth Tuten but the fact she may have been born in South Carolina caught my eye. I knew two Tuten families from SC. One, Jim Ed Tuten, and his family lived in Georgetown, SC. The other family Dr. & Mrs. Joe Tuten. He and Jim Ed were cousins. Dr. Tuten was a Baptist minister who was from South Carolina and lived in the Jackson, Mississippi area for many years where he was associated with Calvary Baptist Church.
