I wanted to thank everyone who has sent me information on BYRDs. You have all been so kind and generous. I am thankful for the names you gave me of BYRD researchers, for all the information you took time to look up, I treasure the beautiful photo that one dear one sent me; whether I make a connection or not...it is beautiful! I shall be on the lookout for that name in my searching to hopefully return the favor! Out of this query I posted came the name listed by a cousin as a possible name for the father of my William Frank BYRD 1870 - 1949 ~ who married Allie SESSIONS on February 06, 1895 Lafayette County, Florida [1875 -1927] these b/d dates, are the dates as copied from their headstones. The name my cousin listed as the father of William Frank Byrd was SABRAN/SEABRUN BYRD when I contacted her, she could not remember where this info came from as is was a long time ago when she was just beginning her research, so she could not verify it. Now, another cousin, on this information, found some names for me: SEABORN BYRD married Lucenda GAY on 04 Nov 1845 in Richmond County,Georgia. note: I will have to do some research on the old handwriting pages to try and decipher these middle initials below. SEABORN [J?, S?,? ] BYRD, Listed as an Invalid on a military record from the 1st FL Cav, widow listed as Mary [J?, G? L?,?], a minor was listed as Mary [L?, S?, ?] SUTTON? looks like the word "sister?" written beside her name. The following were on the 1850 Holmes County, FL Census: [no children listed] SEABORN BYRD age 20 born Alabama ELIZABETH BYRD age 20 born Georgia My question is: Do you have a SEABORN BYRD in your data files? If so, do you have a list of children for him? If so, is there a William or William Frank listed? Okay, that was more than one question. <VBG> Thanks to ALL of you for your kindness. Could there be THIS many SEABORN BYRDs? I Suwannee, another question. ;-) Sharon

Carl, Sorry, I reformatted my computer and might have lost you e-mail. The only information that I have on the Skinner's is on Simon Skinner who married Nancy Albritton. They were living in Columbia Co., Fl. then moved to Polk Co., Fl. where they were counted in the 1880 census. Hope that this is of some help. I am sending this message to all the groups I am a member of so all will be warned. I was a member of the Rootsweb Craft site for several years and recently canceled my membership (about 3 weeks ago). This morning I got three emails...all from the same "person", referencing emails I had sent to the Crafts site seeking information for a project I was working on. On each of the emails I received this morning was an attachment, insisting I should open it for further information. I became suspicious since I was no longer with the Crafts group so I sent all their members a warning. I received this message back from them a few minutes ago from the list owner and it occurred to me that this person might be sending emails to other lists as well. Here is what the Crafts list owner told me... "the whole list is being sent these things, it is coming right from the person......! This person also operates out of an address that is only different with a 02 on it. Just delete anything from them. That is the Badtrans Kak worm and will destroy your computer." The person sending out this dangerous message is identified as jsgm02@atl.media. Please be careful and immediately delete anything received from this address. Virginia Adams

Carolyn: Wilburn Bell has written a short history of the assassination, available at the Lafayette County Public Library. I'm not sure of what it is called, but you could get a copy very easily from Wilburn. >From: <breckenridge@alltel.net> >Reply-To: FLSUWANN-L@rootsweb.com >To: FLSUWANN-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [FLSUWANN] ROBINSON >Date: Thu, 28 Jun 2001 08:02:30 -0400 > >Hi!
